The Canary Islands is one of the most chosen destinations by travellers every year worldwide. Most of them choose to visit our archipelago because it has the best beaches that are internationally recognised.
Tenerife stands out from the other islands for its range of cultural, gastronomic and scenic offerings. And one of the elements that stand out on this island are its beaches; from the north to the south, white sand or black sand, long or hidden… Therefore, here we bring you a guide to the best beaches in the south of Tenerife that you can visit while you spend an incredible all-inclusive holiday at our Villa de Adeje Beach Hotel. Take note!
Torviscas Beach
Topping our list of the best beaches is Torviscas beach, located approximately 1 kilometre from the hotel. Once there you will find services such as toilets, showers, sun loungers and parasols for hire, among others. As for access, this beach is adapted for people with reduced mobility, being part of the group of the twelve accessible beaches in Tenerife. In addition, on days with good visibility, the views of the island of La Gomera are spectacular.
La Pinta Beach
In second place is La Pinta beach, the nearest beach to the hotel, some 600 metres away. Given its calm waves and its location (next to the Puerto Colón marina), if you are travelling with children this is the ideal area. Are you looking for adventure? Here you can find a wide range of water sports, with activities and attractions such as bouncy castles in the water, when the situation permits, jet skis and much more. In addition, there are showers, toilets, sun loungers and parasols for hire, parking available nearby, among other services. The beach is easily accessible on foot due to its proximity to our hotel Villa Adeje Beach.
Fañabé Beach
1.1 kilometres from our hotel is Fañabé beach, one of the most active beaches in the south of Tenerife. One of its advantages, and something that sets it apart from the rest, is the quality of its waters. It is certified with the ”Blue Flag” guarantee, a recognition awarded to those beaches that “comply with a series of environmental, safety and accessibility criteria”. It also has a large number of services such as toilets, showers, restaurants, sun lounger and parasol rental and a children’s area. On the other hand, if you like water sports, you can access a great offer without having to leave the sand. The sunsets it offers are another reason why it is on our list of the best beaches in the south of Tenerife.
El Duque Beach
Last but not least, or rather, impressive, is the Duque beach. This beach, although a little further away from the hotel, is totally worth it as it is a quiet area where the sun shines. Awarded as the previous one, this beach has the Blue Flag distinction, something that makes it almost perfect. Its magnificent location will make you fall in love with it as well as its bars, restaurants and shopping centres. Another point in its favour is that it is located on the less windy side of the island (southwest side of the island of Tenerife). Access is very easy and you can reach it easily by car. There are also toilets, showers and changing rooms, litter bins, a cleaning service and sun lounger and parasol hire on the beach.
If there is one thing that characterises all these beaches, it is the number of visitors they receive all year round. This is due to the nice climate that prevails on the island of Tenerife 365 days a year. Added to this is the space they have and the care given to the water. This is why they are on our essential list of the best beaches in the south of Tenerife.
Now that you know more about them, can you think of a better plan to enjoy during your stay at the Villa de Adeje Beach Hotel?
