Meet Álvaro, our cook

Continue getting to know our staff at Villa Adeje Beach. Today we have the pleasure to introduce you to Álvaro, one of our cooks, read on!

“I have worked in the kitchen all my life and I like it”

Álvaro has been working at the Villa Adeje Beach Hotel for two years. Although this is his first job in a hotel in Tenerife, when he lived in Venezuela he also worked in the kitchen. “All my life I have worked in the kitchen and I like it”, he tells us.

Everyday life in the kitchen of Villa Adeje Beach

The kitchen team is in charge of setting up the buffet for our all-inclusive service. “Our day to day? It’s from there to here,” laughs Álvaro.

His favourite dish: lasagne

Álvaro tells us that his favourite dish to make is lasagne. When we ask him about his secret to getting it right, he is clear: the trick is to use top quality material so that everything turns out well. “Here they give us good material, you feel as if you were at home”, he tells us.

Although being mainly in the kitchen he doesn’t have as much contact with the clients, Álvaro emphasises the familiarity that exists at Villa Adeje Beach: “There are many repeat clients and that’s because they like our hotel”, he tells us.

What makes Villa Adeje Beach different from other hotels?

Álvaro emphasises the closeness and familiarity at Villa Adeje Beach: “We are a big family”.

That is why, when asked about his future, Álvaro doesn’t think about it: “I would like to continue as I am, this is what I like and I don’t change it… I get home and I continue cooking because it is what I like”.
